pooh hats are cute and all...
But at this point in my purse-collecting, impulse-buying, self-absorbed life, I'm glad I ain't got no kids.
I'm also glad my house is reasonably clean. ... More on this when there isn't a baby in my house.

I came across your blog randomly one day, and I liked reading it, so you're in my bloglines.
Freakishly, I just posted about Winnie-the-Pooh, and then came to see what you'd written.
Now I'm going back to my life - but ever so slightly spun out.

Yeah, the self absorbed is a big thing. Both I and Kathy were very selfish about things (especially our time) for a long time. We are still, but for whatever reason, I think we are now ready to share.
But you are right about that being a key concern.

And besides that, the pooh hats and the little socks!
Can you tell that I'm enjoying finally being able to think about the inbound young'un?

Much better to think about Pavel than insurance/bridge loans/realtors/etc.

Pavel... Chekhov?!
My Modern European Theatre professor was an American and had a dog called Chekhov, obviously inspired by the playwright Anton Chekhov. A Canadian came to study and one famous day praised him on the name and said she liked Star Trek too.
That wasn't supposed to be a racist joke BTW. I wasn't 100% on everyone's names is all!
